The Guild of Deaf Artists successfully organised its first artists’ retreat in the cottage countryside of Jyväskylä! Members had a say in the choice of location and cottage. The choice proved to be an excellent one, although there were some accessibility issues and the premises were a little cramped. We can learn from this first experience to make the next one even better!
During the retreat, the artists had the chance to relax, try out different art materials, draw inspiration from nature, showcase their work and engage in peer discussions with other artists. Tips and ideas were also shared!
